At the Mamaroneck Avenue Irish pub, patrons can take advantage of $16 buckets of domestic beer (five bottles) and $20 buckets of imported beer, $14 pitchers of domestic and $20 pitchers of imported, half-price wings, and an optional $40 open bar.

"The super bowl for us is a big day," said owner Michael Hynes. "We have 16 large TVs in the main area and four out on the patio. Because it's hard to miss the game from any seat, and the atmosphere both inside and outside, we get a lot of people on Super Bowl Sunday."

Hynes said the menu overall is "very sports-oriented," with sliders, mozzarella sticks and potato skins on top of their half-price wings.

As a bonus, Hynes said, viewers might like to know that Molly Spillane's was a favorite spot of Ray Rice, the Baltimore Ravens running back who grew up in New Rochelle.

Sherwood's

Known for its wings, Sherwood's is doing a special Super Bowl take-out menu of strictly wings, ribs, barbecue chicken and salad. Some of the specials include $20 for a tray of the house salad or $28 for a tray of the bayou salad, $22 for a bowl of 25 wings and $16 for a full rack of Bertha's baby back ribs. If you're having a party, a Super Rack of ribs (six racks) is $80.

The regular menu will be served in-house, where there are also big-screen televisions above the bar.

As for the famous wings? "They're just really good. We've been cooking them for 20 years and people keep coming back for them," said Danny Parker, the manager.

Boiano Pastry Shop

Run by the same family that owns Cosmo & Alex's Italian Deli just yards away, which will be taking catering orders for anything from its menu, the bakery will be making special cookies decorated with both teams' colors. Orders for football cakes are the most popular, so call ahead to get yours. According to Marisa Guimares at Boiano, it is hard to say right now which team is getting more love based on cookie and cake orders.
