MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- September is one of the busiest times of the year for fitness, which is why Eddie Geideman, owner and lead trainer of Push Fitness is all about getting people back into their routines and refocused on goal setting.
To that end, Push, which opened in Mamaroneck in February 2015, is offering an open house from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Sept. 18. The day's events include a group run at 7:30 a.m. (beginners are welcome), a Kid's Fit Demo at 10 a.m. for those ages 9 to 14, and a mini Zumba class at 11 a.m.
Geideman hopes the event will not only bring in new clients, but encourage existing ones as well. "The biggest difference between our gym and other gyms is our community," he told Daily Voice. "We have created a positive, friendly environment that futures success amongst our clients and members."
The gym is, in fact, launching a kid's program next week. "The idea of the program is not only encourage exercise and healthy habits, but also to instill confidence and have fun while doing so," he said.
Geideman has a minority partner in the business, New Rochelle native Marco Moreno, and said he grew to love the area through his girlfriend who grew up in Mamaroneck. "I'm a huge Mamaroneck proponent, " he said.
Push Fitness is at 154 E Boston Post Rd., Suite # 2, (914) 732-3555, www.getpushfitness.com/ .
