A former employee of Vireo Health, the parent company of Vireo Health of New York, told authorities that the oils -- worth hundreds of thousands of dollars -- had been driven in an armored car from the company’s growing facility in Minnesota to an undisclosed location in New York, lohud.com reported.

Vireo is denying the former employee's accusations, saying the cannabis-based medications were not taken to New York, but were destroyed.

The company blamed problems with its inventory tracking software for the missing meds, the lohud.com article said.

Vireo Health of New York has four dispensaries, including the one in White Plains, which opened in January.
