Award-Winning Author Shares New Novel In Larchmont

LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Local author Robert Sharenow will launch his latest novel, “The Girl in the Torch,” on Saturday, June 6, at 3:30 p.m. in the Village Center at the Larchmont Public Library.

Sharenow will read excerpts from the book and talk about his writing process. There will be a question-and-answer period following his presentation. The book is intended for readers ages 8 and older. The Voracious Reader of Larchmont will be on hand with copies of all of Sharenow’s books available for purchase and personalized autographs.

Sharenow is known to many of his friends and neighbors as an entertainment industry executive. He is an Emmy Award-winning television producer and has a demanding full-time job as executive vice president and general manager of A&E and Lifetime networks.

His debut novel, “My Mother the Cheerleader,” was named one of the Best Books of the Year by the American Library Association, School Library Journal and the New York Public Library. His second novel, “The Berlin Boxing Club,” received the Sydney Taylor Book Award and was a finalist for the Walden Award.

Sharenow lives in Larchmont with his wife and his two daughters.
