Campout With Family At Mamaroneck's Harbor Island Park

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A variety of events are planned throughout Westchester this weekend, including a campout on Saturday, Sept. 13 and an art reception on Sunday, Sept. 14.

The Mamaroneck Village Recreation Department will host its 11th Annual Family Campout at Harbor Island Park beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. A free movie will be shown at 7 p.m. Bring sleeping bags, tents, food and kids of all ages. The camp fire, s’mores, hot chocolate, coffee, tea and gas grills will be provided. For more information on tickets, call 914-777-7784 (Rain date is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27).

Rye Arts Council will host an opening reception for "Irving Harper: A Mid Century Mind At Play" from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Rye Arts Center Gallery located at 51 Milton Road.
