Two-family Rutherford house fire KO’d

NEWSBREAK: Two residents got out OK and no injuries were immediately reported in a Rutherford two-family house fire this afternoon.

Carlstadt, Lyndhurst, North Arlington and Wallington firefighters responded to the 2:40 p.m. three-alarm call at the 2½-story residence on Eastern Way or as backup.

Responders said the blaze apparently began in the kitchen.
