Golf, Tennis Open In Mamaroneck Raises Funds For U Of West Indies

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The American Foundation for The University of the West Indies is planning its second annual Golf & Tennis Open fundraiser for Sept. 16 at Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck.

The event supports the scholarship program for college students who are in dire need of financial aid. Those who are unable to participate in the golf and tennis, join help by attending the dinner and awards ceremony at 6 p.m.

Donations to the cause will be accepted from those unable to attend.

The American Foundation for The University of the West Indies is the principal link between the University of the West Indies, which is the leading educational institution in the Caribbean, and the groups in the United States who value and support the university's work. The foundation partners with the university alumni, the Caribbean community in the United States, American foundations and corporations with Caribbean business interests or Caribbean markets to raise funds for projects, scholarships and academic programs on the university's three campuses and 13 University Centers.
