He was born in Puerto Rico to Crispulo Gonzalez Sr. and Maria Gonzalez. He moved to Bridgeport with his family when he was 7.
He is survived by his daughter, Yolanda Gonzalez-Jackson of Virginia; son Joel Gonzalez of San Diego; daughter Tania White of Waterbury; grandchildren Richard Morales Jr. and Manuel McAllister, Alana, Jaylani, Silyse, Monique, Tatiana and Jazlyn; and several great-grandchildren; and sisters Carmen Gonzalez from Paramount, Calif., Julia Arroyo of Orlando, Marie Lopez and Carmen Figueroa of Bridgeport.
Gonzalez was predeceased by his son, Chris Gonzalez and brother Jesus Gonzalez.
Visiting hours will be from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., in Bridgeport, followed by a noon mass at St. Mary's Church, 136 Sherman St., in Bridgeport. Interment will Follow in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, in Stratford.
