William Sebestyen Sr., 95, Of Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – William Alexander Sebestyen, Sr., a lifelong resident of Fairfield, died on Jan. 30 at his home. He was 95.

Sebestyen graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1938, going on to serve as an Army master sergeant during World War II.

After his military service, he went on to retire as a carpenter and construction supervisor for Tomlinson, Hawley, and Patterson Construction in Trumbull.

Sebestyen was predeceased by his siblings, Helen and Frank.

He is survived by four sons, William Jr. of Windsor, Donald, David of Southport, Gary and his wife Lyndsey of Brighton, Mich., four grandchildren, and sister Anna Lemack of Oxford.

Visiting hours are on Friday, Feb. 12 at 12:30 p.m. at the Lesko & Polke Funeal Home, 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center, with a memorial service at 1:30 p.m.

Interment with military honors will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
