LARCHMONT, N.Y -- Just over a year ago, Larchmont resident Mary Olson-Menzel was diagnosed with breast cancer and made it through a rough year with hopes of giving back to the community.

Yoga for the Cure, started by Larchmont resident and cancer survivor Mary Olson-Menzel, will be held for the second year in a row.

Olson-Menzel wants to give back to the community and to women like herself who have struggled to fight and are still fighting a breast cancer diagnosis. She would like to say thanks and urge them not to give up hope. Last year, she hosted the inaugural Yoga for a Cure with almost 50 participants and raised significant funds that went directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The second annual MVP Yoga for the Cure will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Larchmont Yacht Club.  Instructors Twee Merrigan and Robin Giacomo will return for the second year in a row along with several other yoga instructors assisting them.
