The exhibit will be available for viewing during normal library hours until Friday, Oct. 30.
The exhibit is free.
There will be an artist’s reception for Rainier on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
The reception is also free and all are welcome.
“Memories” features oil and watercolor paintings in a variety of styles, from abstract to realistic.
Her subjects include portraits, landscapes and still life, painted over a 40-year period.
Rainier has had an interest expressing herself through art since age 7 and has dabbled in various media.
She studied oil painting at the Brooklyn Museum art school and watercolor painting at the Art Student’s League in Manhattan.
She grew up in Union, N.J., and recently retired from her career as a registered nurse.
She moved to Larchmont in 1977.
