Mamaroneck High School Teacher Holds Free Ukulele Concert

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The sounds of ghosts and goblins may be in the air but on Thursday, Oct. 30, Mamaroneck High School teacher Bill Derby will debut an original song he wrote for the ukulele.

PACE Teacher Bill Derby will debut an original song he wrote for the ukulele thanks to a Mamaroneck Schools Foundation grant.

The free concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Hommocks Auditorium where the PACE (Performing Arts Curriculum Experience) teacher will acknowledge the generous Mamaroneck Schools Foundation grant responsible for bringing ukuleles to the entire district.

This new and innovative program has reached across all six area schools and makes this performance possible. This is just a taste of many ukulele music and performances to come so stay tuned.
