MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The sounds of ghosts and goblins may be in the air but on Thursday, Oct. 30, Mamaroneck High School teacher Bill Derby will debut an original song he wrote for the ukulele.

The free concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Hommocks Auditorium where the PACE (Performing Arts Curriculum Experience) teacher will acknowledge the generous Mamaroneck Schools Foundation grant responsible for bringing ukuleles to the entire district.

This new and innovative program has reached across all six area schools and makes this performance possible. This is just a taste of many ukulele music and performances to come so stay tuned.

Go to the Mamaroneck School District page for general district calendar listings; for more information on grants and all that the Mamaroneck Schools Foundation is doing, go here .
