The event, sponsored by Half Time Beverage, the supersized beer store on Hoyt Avenue, was full of music, games, seminars and lots of samples -- despite the somewhat raw and rainy conditions.

More than 150 breweries serving up approximately 350 varieties of beer from around the world were on tap, perhaps what kept the crowd in such a great mood despite overcast skies.

There were no complaints from Wendy Walken, co-owner of Bull & Barrel Brew Pub in Brewster, N.Y. whose booth was hopping (no pun intended) with visitors.

"This is a great way to introduce new folks to our brand, " she said. "It's also been good exposure for our distributors."
