Movies, SAT/ACT Practice, Beauty Tips Among Mamaroneck Library Events

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A movie showing of "Maleficent" is among many events scheduled at Mamaroneck Library for late November and throughout December.

A rundown of events is below. 

  • Joyce Hertzoff, author of "The Crimson Orb," will visit Mamaroneck Library to read and promote the first book of her new series, "The Crystal Odyssey Series," on Friday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. in the Program Room. The series follows the adventures of Narissa Day and her brother, Blane, as they encounter many dangers while seeking the fabled Crimson Orb. All are welcome.
  • A screening of "Maleficent" will be screened on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. in Teen Library. The movie is open to middle and high school teens.
  • There will be a free SAT/ACT practice test in the Community Room on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To reserve your spot, call 914-630-5875.
  • There will be a movie matinees showing "The Hundred Foot Journey" on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. in the Community Room. The movie is free. 
  • Style Expert Tonia will share her style and beauty secrets at An Introduction to A Fashion Guide For Every Woman on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.
  • Patrons are invited to bring crafts, share and explore ideas at Crafternoons on Thursday, Dec. 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
