To participate in this year’s festival, registration must be completed by Saturday, Oct. 3. Registration can be done online here at or by picking up an entry form at the library.
The Annual Scarecrow Festival, Oct. 17-19, sponsored by the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library, is a unique event in which participants purchase a metal frame on which to create their scarecrow. In addition to the nominal registration fee of $10, the scarecrow frame costs $20.
There will be two days to pick up the frame and decorate at the library: Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 16 from 7-9 p.m.
There will be materials and craft supplies available for those participating to use. The completed scarecrows will be displayed on the front lawn of the library from Saturday, Oct. 17 through Saturday, Oct. 24.
