The HGAR Garage Sale is all part of the association’s ongoing efforts to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley, a Tarrytown-based nonprofit group that grants the wishes of children dealing with life-threatening medical conditions. HGAR’s family of real estate agencies will offer discounted items brought in by their agents, and all funds collected will go directly to Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley.

“Every fall, we hold a special cocktail party, which is our major fundraiser for this fantastic organization,” said Kathy Milich, HGAR Make-A-Wish Committee chair. “This year, we wanted to get the jump on our fundraising efforts so we can make an even bigger difference in the lives of these children.”

Many real estate agencies throughout the Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Orange counties have volunteered to participate in this regionwide garage sale, which is open to the public.

“We’re inviting everyone to come out to their local real estate agency, get a great deal on some special items and help Make-A-Wish at the same time,” added Milich.
