Strides Breast Cancer Relay Team To Host Bake Sale At City Hall

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- For those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth, they now can indulge for a good cause, thanks to Sandi Murray, Patti Romeo and the rest of the Strides breast cancer relay team. They will host their 7th annual bake sale on Thursday, Oct. 15 at New Rochelle City Hall from 9 a.m. until noon (or the sweets run out.)

"We've been doing the walk for quite some time in conjunction with the city" says Romeo. "Several years ago we decided to raise more funds for the walk and the support has been incredible."

Visitors can choose from an assortment of cupcakes, cookies, banana breads, as well as a raffle. Be sure to come early though, she cautions.

"Between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. it's non stop." says Romeo. "Last year we raised over $2000 and this year our goal is to raise $3000."

All proceeds will go to support their Strides Breast Cancer relay team. The Making Strides walk will be held in Purchase this upcoming Sunday.
