Monday, Jan. 28

Gaming Night for 5th to 8th Grade: 6-7:30 p.m. Kids can enjoy a snack while playing games for the Xbox Kinect or the Nintendo Wii. Free. No registration required. Meets in the Michael P Coords Activity Room. The Larchmont Public Library is at 121 Larchmont Ave.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

"Young Artists on The Rise" Exhibition: Noon to 5 p.m. Check out the artistic talent of local youth at The Mamaroneck Artists Guild this week. The current exhibit displays work by students from Mamaroneck High School, New Rochelle High School and the French American School of New York. Show is Jan. 29 through Feb. 9. Free. The Mamaroneck Artists Guild is at 126 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Kindermusic With Larchmont Music Academy: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kids will learn new songs, sing old favorites, play rhythm instruments, dance, laugh and snuggle during a musical afternoon at the Larchmont Public Library. 10 a.m. ages 1½-3 years; 11 a.m. ages 3 months – 1½ years; 2:15 ages 3-4 years; 3:30 p.m. ages 4-6 years. Mis Amigos: 5 p.m. Enjoy this Spanish playground where students ages 6-7 will be immersed in the target language by playing games, watching cartoons, coloring pictures on our big screen, and more. Knit or Chrochet for Project Linus: 10 a.m. to noon. Whisk away cold winter mornings with fellow knitters and crocheters. Contribute to a good cause by making blankets for kids to be donated to local hospitals and Mamaroneck Community Action Program. No instructions or materials provided. Free. The program meets in the Young Adult Section at the Larchmont Public Library, 121 Larchmont Ave.

SAT vs. ACT for High School Students: 7-8:30 p.m. Theresa Michna will answer questions about these standardized tests. Do colleges show a preference for one test versus the other? Must you report all your SAT scores to colleges? What's the best way to prep for these tests? For grades 10-12. Free. No registration required. The program meets in the Michael P. Coords Activity Room at the Larchmont Public Library.

Friday, Feb. 1

Rennie Harris Aspiring Works at the Emelin Theatre: 8 p.m. The acclaimed youth dance company Rennie Harris Aspiring Works (R.H.A.W) forges new paths by presenting hip-hop in its "RHAW-est" and performing a huge variety of styles of street dance. Tickets are $15 for students, $30 in advance and $42 day of show. Emelin Theatre for the Performing Arts, 153 Library Lane, Mamaroneck.
