MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- From book readings and a LegoFest to a farmer's market and a Valentine's speaker, there are plenty of events this weekend in Mamaroneck and Larchmont.

Friday, Feb. 8

Westchester Sandbox Theatre Summer Camp Registration: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Campers ages 7 to 10 will have the opportunity to participate in an array of  summer activities and a comprehensive performing arts curriculum. Session 1: July 8 to July 26, $900. Session 2: July 29 to Aug. 9, $600. LEGOFest at the Larchmont Public Library: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Share your love of LEGOs with other children at this library fundraiser. Event goes on all weekend through Sunday. Held in the village center. Ages 3 and up. $5. Friday teen tickets are $10. 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Young Critics Club: 6 to 7:15 p.m. Join other book lovers ages 8 to 11 to discuss favorite reads and take home free copies of not-yet-published books. $10 grants admission, pizza and soda/juice. Reservations. The Voracious Reader is located at 1997 Palmer Ave., Larchmont. 

Saturday, Feb. 9

Mamaroneck Winter Farmer's Market: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shoppers will find tables of fresh lettuces, kales, herbs, root vegetables and more from local farmers and food producers. Other market offerings: fresh seafood, local meats, breads, baked goods, pickles, and hand-crafted foods. Indoors at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 168 West Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. 

Practice SAT/ACT Test at the Mamaroneck Public Library: 10 a.m. Try a free KAPLAN practice SAT or ACT exam. You will get a chance to see the type of questions that will be asked and find out which test is best for you. Angelina Ballerina Book Signings: 1 p.m. at Anderson's Book Shop; 3 p.m. at the Mamaroneck Public Library. Katherine Holabird, author of the best-selling series "Angelina Ballerina," will sign books and read from her work in anticipation of the Off-Broadway hit, "Angelina Ballerina The Musical," which is coming to the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck on Feb. 16 and 17. Free. Anderson’s Book Shop is located at 96 Chatsworth Ave. in Larchmont. The Mamaroneck Public Library is located 136 Prospect Ave. in Mamaroneck.

Young People's "Hairspray" Auditions at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The WST announces auditions for its YPT Teens production of "Hairspray," a Tony Award-winning musical. Auditions are open to performers in grades 9 through 12. Auditions go through Tuesday, Feb. 12. Registration Fee $395. 

A Talk and Display of Antique Valentines at St. John's Episcopal Church: 2 p.m. The Larchmont Historical Society presents a special event featuring Nancy Rosin, has been a passionate collector of more than 10,000 items encompassing objects given with respect, admiration, friendship, or love, continue to reflect our most sincere emotions.
