Friday, Feb. 22
Teen Afternoon Movie: 1:30 p.m. Come watch the blockbuster hit "The Amazing Spiderman" starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. No registration is required. For kids in grades six and up. The program is in the Village Center at the Larchmont Public Library.
Free Books & Pizza at The Voracious Reader: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Teens 12 to 14 get together, chat about their favorite and upcoming YA books. Choose a free, not-yet-published book. $10 covers admission, pizza and juice/soda. The Voracious Reader is at 1997 Palmer Ave. in Larchmont.
"The Full Monty: at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre: 8 p.m. With a contemporary rock score by David Yazbek and a book by Terrence McNally based on the original motion picture, "The Full Monty" will make you scream with laughter while also tugging at your heartstrings. Blackbeard the Pirate Acting Camp Performance: 11 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. What starts as a lazy day at the beach quickly turns into mystery and adventure when the search for Blackbeard's gold begins! Tales from past and present lead us on a search of untold riches. Just where have Blackbeard and his crew hidden their legendary treasure? Come see kids who participated in Missoula Children's Theatre acting camp perform this play. Tickets are $13. The Emelin Theatre is at 153 Library Lane in Mamaroneck.

Jazz Brunch at The Voracious Reader: 1:30 p.m. Celebrate Black History month with a special musical brunch. There will be entertainment by the talented young Troubadours of New Rochelle's own Bennett Academy of Performing Arts. Meet the Academy's dynamic director, Andrea L. Bennett, who will be happy to answer any questions about her school. Amid the jazz and scones and tea, there will also be a reading of Langston Hughes' iconic poem "I, Too, Am America". Free. Author Series at the Mamaroneck Public Library: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Semi-famous and semi-local writer Peter De Jonge will read from his new novel, "Buried on Avenue B" in the Community Room. Free. The Mamaroneck Public Library is at 136 Prospect Ave.
