Schools and libraries are closed for Columbus Day

Tuesday, Oct. 9

"Les Miserables" Auditions: 5 p.m..- 7 p.m.  The Westchester Sandbox Theatre will be having auditions for its YPT Teens production of "Les Miserables." Auditions are open for performers in grades 8 through 12 and each performer should prepare a song and sheet music in the correct key. They will be held at 931c E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.

Village of Mamaroneck Board of Trustee Regular Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The board will be meeting at the Village of Mamaroneck courthouse, 169 Mount Pleasant Ave.

Wednesday, Oct. 10

Teacher-in-the-Library: 3:30 p.m. Need help with homework? Come to the Mamaroneck Public Library, in the Homework Room to get help. No registration is required. 136 Prospect Ave, Mamaroneck.

Toddler Literacy: 10:30 and 11:15 a.m. Little movers and shakers can embrace their inner groove in this early literacy program. Ages 1 1/2 - 3. A parent or caregiver must attend. Registration is limited to the first 35 toddlers. Tickets will be given out starting at 9:15 the day of the program. Larchmont Library, Burchell Children’s Room, 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Town of Mamaroneck Recreation Commission- 7:30 p.m. The commission will meet the Veterans of Foreign War Building. 1288 Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.

Thursday, Oct.11

Stories and Tales: 10:35 a.m. This interactive story time helps to foster children’s interest in literacy through fun stories and interesting tales. Registration is not required. A parent or caregiver must attend. Larchmont Library, Burchell Children’s Room, 121 Larchmont Ave.
