Monday, Dec. 3

Leaping Literature: 4 p.m. This event allows 5- to 7-year-olds to interact and move around during story time. Registration is not required, but a caregiver must be present in the building. 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

"My Son Pinocchio" Auditions: 5 p.m. Children in grades three through six can audition at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre. Auditions will also take place Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. 931C E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.

Village of Larchmont Board of Trustees Work Session: 7 p.m. The trustees will discuss the Hurricane Sandy recovery, Palmer Avenue streetscape project and other matters. 120 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

Rhythm and Rhyme: 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Help your child develop a love of language and literacy. This program teaches new songs, rhymes and finger plays while celebrating old Mother Goose favorites such as "Itsy Bitsy Spider." A parent or caregiver must attend. Registration is required. Village of Mamaroneck Board of Architectural Review Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the village courtroom. 169 Mount Pleasant Ave., Mamaroneck.

Mamaroneck High School Ensemble Concert: 7:30 p.m. The students will perform in the McLain Auditorium. 1000 W. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

Young and Restless: 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Little movers and shakers can embrace their inner groove in this early literacy program. A parent or caregiver must attend. Registration is not required. Larchmont Public Library, Burchell Children’s Room, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Mamaroneck Town Board Meeting: 8 p.m. The board will have a public hearing on the 2013 budget. The meeting takes place at the Town Center in Conference Room D. 740 W. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.
