Mamaroneck H.S Varsity Football: 4:30 p.m. Mamaroneck High School against Carmel High School.

Cosmic Public Skate Night: 7:15-9:15 p.m. Go to the Hommocks Park Ice Rink to ice skate to your favorite music coordinated to new cosmic disco lights on the ice. 140 Hommocks Road, Larchmont.

Saturday, Oct. 6

A Day in the Life of Larchmont: October 20, 2011: 9 a.m. Come to the Larchmont Public Library and look at a unique photography exhibit on display. 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Hommocks Pool: Noon to 6:10 p.m. Open for swimming. Hommocks Pool, 140 Hommocks Road, Larchmont.

Creative Writing Workshop for 6-8 graders: 2-4 p.m. The Larchmont Public Library will have young authors Amalie Howard, author of "Bloodspell," and Kristi Cook, author of "Haven and Mirage" guide them in creating there own short stories. Les Miserables Auditions: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Westchester Sandbox Theatre will be having auditions for its YPT Teens production of "Les Miserables." Auditions are open for performers in grades 8-12 and each performer should prepare a song and sheet music is the correct key. They will be at 931c E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.
