Monday, Feb. 4

Julie Andrews at The Voracious Reader: 6:30 p.m. Julie Andrews and Emma Watson Hamilton come to Larchmont to sign their new book, "The Very Fairy Princess Follows Her Heart." The event is too capacity but call The Voracious Reader to get a pre-signed copy of the book. 914-630-4581.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

Young Artists Award Ceremony at The Mamaroneck Artists Guild: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Juried members of the Guild judge and select one Best of Show piece, along with first , second and honorable mention winners in various categories. Artists are students from Mamaroneck High School, New Rochelle High School and the French American School. The Mamaroneck Artists Guild is located at 126 Larchmont Avenue in Larchmont.

Thursday, Feb. 7

Knit or Crochet for Project Linus: 10 a.m. to noon. Whisk away cold winter mornings with fellow knitters and crocheters. Contribute to a good cause by making blankets for kids to be donated to local hospitals and Mamaroneck Community Action Program. No instructions or materials are provided; the event is free. The program meets in the Young Adult Section at the Larchmont Public Library at 121 Larchmont Ave.

Roots and Shoots at the Mamaroneck Public Library: 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Be a part of Jane Goodall's global network of young people and act on your concern for people, animals, and the environment.  Ages 8 and up. Registration required. In the Children's Room at the Mamaroneck Public Library, 136 Prospect Avenue in Mamaroneck.

Guilty Conscience Book Group at the Larchmont Public Library: 7 p.m. Led by Librarian Liam Hegarty, the group will discuss William Faulkner's "The Sound and the Fury." Copies of the book are available now on the Book Group Shelf in the Library Reference Room. 

Friday, Feb. 8

LEGO Club at the Larchmont Public Library: 3:30 p.m. Share your love of LEGOs with other children and create your own project based on a different theme each session. Ages 7 and up. Registration not required. Caregiver must be in the building.

Young Critics Club: 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Join other book lovers ages 8-11, to discuss favorite reads and take home free copies of not-yet-published books. A $10 cost grants admission, pizza and soda/juice. Reservations please. The Voracious Reader is located at 1997 Palmer Avenue in Larchmont.
