Friday, Jan. 25

Fridays with Franklin at the Voracious Reader: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Meet the Voracious Reader's treasured and wonderful-with-children Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Franklin enjoys being read to as well as any other attention. Free. 1997 Palmer Ave., Larchmont.

Free Books and Pizza at The Voracious Reader: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Kids 12 to 14 can get together to chat about favorite and upcoming Young Adult books. Everyone chooses a free, not-yet-published book. The Fred Eaglesmith Traveling Steam Show at the Emeline Theatre: 8 p.m. This singer, songwriter, and bandleader has topped the bluegrass charts and performed on "Late Night With David Letterman." Tickets are $33. 153 Library Lane, Mamaroneck.

Saturday, Jan. 26

Max Maven at the Emeline Theatre: 8 p.m. Check out Max and his magic — advanced psychological techniques like subliminal persuasion — for a night of participatory entertainment. Tickets are $49. 153 Library Lane, Mamaroneck.

Sunday, Jan. 27

The Carly Rose Sonenclar Parade: 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The Village of Mamaroneck will honor 13-year-old singer Carly Rose Sonenclar in a procession with the Mamaroneck Fire Department and Police Department, school teams and cheerleaders, and more. The parade will start on Mamaroneck Avenue at Jefferson Avenue and end at Molly Spillane's near Prospect Avenue. 

Book Talk with Amy Nathan at the Village Center: 4 p.m. Local author Amy Nathan will do a slide presentation on her book, "Round & Round," the story of the fight to integrate a Baltimore amusement park in the 1960s. Free. Refreshments will be served at 3:30 p.m. 119 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.
