Monday, Dec. 17

Mamaroneck Avenue Task Force Committee Meeting: 12:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Regatta. 169 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Mamaroneck.

Leaping Literature: 4 p.m. This event allows 5- to 7-year-olds to interact and move around during story time. Registration is not required, but a caregiver must be present in the building. 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Gaming Night: 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Students from fifth through eighth grade can play Xbox Kinect and/or Nintendo Wii. No registration is required. The event will take place in the Michael P. Coords Activity Room. 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Village of Mamaroneck Board of Trustees Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the courtroom at 169 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Mamaroneck.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

Rhythm and Rhyme: 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Help your child develop a love of language and literacy. This program teaches new songs, rhymes and finger plays while celebrating old Mother Goose favorites such as "Itsy Bitsy Spider." A parent or caregiver must attend. Registration is required. Larchmont Public Library, Burchell Children’s Room, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Babytime: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Babies and their parents are invited to the Mamaroneck Library Program Room. 136 Prospect Ave., Mamaroneck.

Stories and Tales: 2:15 p.m. This interactive story time helps foster children’s interest in literacy through fun stories and interesting tales. Registration is not required. A parent or caregiver must attend. Larchmont Public Library, Burchell Children's Room, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Wednesday, Dec. 19

Hommocks Middle School Orchestra Concert: 7:30 p.m. Sixth- through eighth-grade students will participate. The concert will take place in the auditorium. 130 Hommocks Road, Larchmont.

Young and Restless: 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Little movers and shakers can embrace their inner groove in this early literacy program. A parent or caregiver must attend. Registration is not required. Larchmont Public Library, Burchell Children’s Room, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Village of Mamaroneck Planning Board Meeting: 7 p.m. The board will meet in the Village Courtroom. 169 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Mamaroneck.

Town of Mamaroneck Board Meeting: 8 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Town Center in Conference Room C.

Thursday, Dec. 20

Mamaroneck High School Winter Concert: 7:30 p.m. Mamaroneck High School Students will perform. The concert will take place in the auditorium. 1000 West Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.

Mamaroneck Library Holiday Movies: The library will have movies from Friday to Sunday such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, A Christmas Story, A Christmas Carol, and ELF. The movies will run during regular library hours and are open to middle and high school-aged teenagers.
