MAMARONECK, N.Y. An outdoor movie at Memorial Park and multiple activities for children are taking place this week in Mamaroneck and Larchmont. See our events listings for even more things to do.

Monday, July 30

Outdoor Movie in the Park: 8:45 p.m. THE MUPPETS Join us for a night under the stars and watch Kermit recruit a Muppet super-fan and his two best friends to help gather up the gang for a telethon that will save the Muppet Theatre. The movie is shown on a giant movie screen with free popcorn. Bring your blanket or a chair and join us on the lawn at Memorial Park. Free convenient parking is available across the street in Commuter Lot #l on Myrtle Boulevard. Rain date is Aug. 3.

Tuesday, July 31

Stories and Tales: 10:30 a.m. This interactive story time helps foster children's interest in literacy through fun stories and interesting tales. Registration is not required. A parent or caregiver must attend. Larchmont Library, Burchell Children's Room, 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Craft Kids Program: 4 p.m. Dreamcatcher. Come learn about the Native American sleep aid and your dreams will come true. Registration is required. Larchmont Library, Burchell Children's Room, 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Larchmont Traffic Comission Meeting: 8 p.m. In the Conference Room, Village Hall. 120 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Village of Mamaroneck Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee Meeting: 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

Young and Restless: 10:30a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Little movers and shakers can embrace their inner groove in this early literacy program. A parent or caregiver must attend. Registration not required.
