MAMARONECK, N.Y. The Westchester Sandbox Theatre is putting on a production of Into the Woods this weekend and the Mamaroneck Public Library is hosting a class on selling items on eBay. Those are just some of the events taking place around Mamaroneck and Larchmont this weekend.
Friday, Aug. 3
Fridays with Franklin: All day. Come meet Franklin, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Franklin enjoys being read to (and any other attention as well). The Voracious Reader, 1997 Palmer Ave., Larchmont.
Rotary Club of Larchmont Meeting: 12:15 p.m. The Rotary Club of Larchmont has an active guest speaker program every Friday. At most weekly meetings, presentations are made of subjects that interest its members and the community in general. The meetings are open to the public. Learn How To Sell On eBay: 1-3 p.m. Susan Longo is a former retail buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor and Babies R Us, and spent a few years in the mail-order catalog business as well. She sells antiques and collectibles full-time on the Internet. She has been doing this for more than 12 years by herself and most of her sales go to far-away parts of the world. She is an eBay Power Seller. She does the research, writes the copy, takes the many photos, and lists items for maximum effect on the Internet. She will teach you how. Into the Woods Performance: 8 p.m. This Stephen Sondheim musical brings together all of your favorite fairy tale characters into one funny, emotional and strikingly touching story. Appropriate for all ages, though some younger kids may find certain elements scary or unsettling. Westchester Sandbox Theatre, 931c E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.
