Monday, Sept. 10

Larchmont Planning Board Meeting: 8 p.m. The board will consider eight applications. The meeting will take place in the Village Hall Conference Room. 120 Larchmont Ave.

Town of Mamaroneck Architectural Review Meeting: 8 p.m. Town Hall, 740 West Boston Post Road.

Tuesday, Sept 11.

Rhythm and Rhyme: 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Help your child develop a love of language and literacy. This program teaches new songs, rhymes and finger plays, while celebrating old Mother Goose favorites like "Itsy Bitsy Spider." A parent or caregiver must attend. Registration is required. Larchmont Library, Burchell Children’s Room, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Stories and Tales: 2:15 p.m. This interactive story time helps to foster children’s interest in literacy through fun stories and interesting tales. Registration is not required. A parent or caregiver must attend. Larchmont Library, Burchell Children’s Room, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Book Club: 3:30 p.m. Second and third grade students can participate in this book club at the Larchmont Library Burchell Children’s Room. 121 Larchmont Ave.

Mamaroneck School Board Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The meeting, which will take place at Mamaroneck High School, includes the discussion of the approval of district goals and first year review of the guidance center among other topics. 1000 West Boston Post Road.

Town of Mamaroneck Recreation Commission Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the VFW Building on Boston Post Road.

Wednesday, Sept. 12

Young and Restless: 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Little movers and shakers can embrace their inner groove in this early-literacy program. A parent or caregiver must attend. Registration is not required. Larchmont Library, Burchell Children’s Room, 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Larchmont Traffic Comission Meeting: 8 p.m. In the Conference Room, Village Hall. 120 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Wacky Wallets: 4 p.m. Those five years of age and older can celebrate National Library Card Month by hearing funny library stories and making their own card case. The event will take place the Larchmont Library, 121 Larchmont Ave., Larchmont.

Artist Reception: 6:30 p.m.- 8 p.m. Dorothy Cancellieri will be at the Larchmont Library to discuss her “OVER MY RAINBOW” artwork, which is on display in the Oresman Gallery through September. The reception is free and open to everyone. 121 Larchmont Ave.

College Essay Meeting: 7 p.m. This program is for sophomores through seniors and will be held in the Michael P. Coords Activity Room. Theresa Michna, who is an experienced college coach, will help you with your college essay. 121 Larchmont Ave.

Friday, Sept. 14

Hommocks Welcome Back Breakfast: 8:45 a.m.-10:15 a.m. This event will take place at Hommocks Middle School. 130 Hommocks Road, Larchmont.

Larchmont Park and Trees Committee Meeting: 9:30 a.m. The meeting will take place in the second floor conference room of Village Hall. 120 Larchmont Ave.
