Former Mamaroneck resident Angela Bumstead and Alissa Endres, a Wisconsin native, are two of 12 "hotoggers" in the country selected as the official Oscar Mayer Wiener "Wienermobile spokespeople."
The two 22-year-olds are traveling across in the country spreading "miles of smiles." They attend parades, festivals, sporting events, and grocery stores handing out the coveted wiener whistles, a tradition that started 28 years ago.
And, since July 23 is national hot dog day (see Daily Voice story here), they drove their hotdog-shaped "Wienermobile" into Manhattan and appeared on the "Today" Show.
The two, who go by the media names Angus Beef Angela and Oh I Liss, were on the show to promote the Wiener Rover, an off-roading vehicle that delivers fresh hot dogs to hot dog lovers everywhere. The two have already been to Washington, D.C., Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New Jersey.
The new Rover is the latest addition to the fleet of Wienermobiles; there are six crossing the hot dog highways of America now.

Bumstead, a Hommocks Middle School graduate (she moved to Austin, Texas in 2007), who recently graduated from University of Austin, said the experience has been one she will "relish" forever.
"Having the opportunity to make people happy and see a new city every week has been incredible," she said.
