At Home On The Sound Hosts First Bocce Tourney In Mamaroneck

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- At Home on the Sound will host the first Bocce Tournament at the Town of Mamaroneck Senior Center on Saturday, June 14, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The town of Mamaroneck Senior Center/VFW Post is at 1288 Boston Post Road, Larchmont. The event is free.

Student-athletes from Mamaroneck High School will square off against members of At Home on the Sound.

Members of Larchmont and Mamaroneck village and town fire, police and EMS departments will play along with local clergy including the Rev. Bill Crawford from Larchmont Avenue Church and Monsignor  Thomas Kelly from the Church of St. Augustine.

Larchmont Mayor Anne McAndrews, Village of Mamaroneck Mayor Norm Rosenblum and Town of Mamaroneck Supervisor Nancy Seligson will compete against the media represented by Lou Young of CBS 2 News, Phil Reisman of The Journal News and Lisa LaRocca from News12 Westchester.

Former Mamaroneck town Supervisor Valerie O'Keeffe will roll out the honorary first ball. Vincent Graziano will provide play-by-play commentary. State Sen. George Latimer will preside at the winners' ceremony at 4 p.m.

At Home on the Sound is a non-profit, aging-in-place organization providing services, programs, and transportation to those in Larchmont and Mamaroneck who wish to remain in their own homes as they grow older.
