Hudson Valley Women Take The Fight To Breast Cancer With Educational Summit

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- For breast cancer survivors and those currently battling the disease, the Greater Hudson Valley Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is working to provide support for women in Westchester County and beyond, during their life-changing diagnoses.

The Links, Incorporated, a volunteer organization committed to the cultural and economic advancement of African American women, is hosting PINK SUMMIT 2017 on Saturday, May 6 at Pace University in Pleasantville. The event will focus on how a women's health is impacted by breast cancer, through the testimonials survivors, friends and families.

Free and open to the public, the summit will provide attendees with the chance to learn more about the disease and pose questions to a panel of experts from White Plains Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center, the event's co-sponsors. Exhibitors will also provide information to patients, survivors and those seeking to learn how to prevent breast cancer development. After the panel, attendees will choose between two breakout sessions and discuss various topics including nutrition and holistic therapies, employment concerns and the impact of cancer on families.
