Larchmont Library Offers Programs For Keeping New Year's Resolutions

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- The Larchmont Public Library is re-launching a series of programs designed to help participants keep their New Year's resolutions.

The New Year, Fresh Start series kicks off on Monday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m., with the Life Planning session led by certified financial planner John M. Coughlin.

The Discovering the Natural Wonders of An African Safari program will be held on Jan. 22. This multi-media presentation will teach about the benefits of making a trip to an African Safari to experience places such as Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Kenyan and South Africa. It will be led by David Sschwenk from Africa Travel. Inc.

Focusing on financial planning, the Your Money Matters segment will be led by local attorney Elizabeth Radow on Jan. 24 at 3 p.m.

The Paleo Diet will be covered on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. Bob Blaufarb’s program will explain how to adopt a healthier diet based on one practiced by humans 10,000 years ago. Blaufarb is captain and director of health, wellness and fitness for the Mamaroneck Fire Department.

The series continues into February with programs on Strength Training for Women, The Art of Dressing and a session about Understanding Today’s Insurance Products.
