“We rely on the generosity of our community to keep our doors open," said Chief Jason Capalbo. "We rely on the generosity of our community to keep our doors open. Our ambulances are not purchased by the Village but rather by funds raised from the very community we serve. Our fundraising efforts pay for 100 percent of our ambulances and many of the basic pieces of equipment our members need to serve the community."
MEMS is aiming to raise $150,000 for a new ambulance to replace an older one.
