Store guests can enjoy a culinary journey through the regions of Italy at a distinctive tasting and entertainment event at the newly opened store. The exclusive showcase will recreate a traditional Italian market, or “piazza,” and feature a collection of hand-curated products from Italian artisans, which customers can sample, share and enjoy.

Balducci’s will showcase an assortment of items from across Italy, including specialty sauces, olive oils, balsamic vinegars, authentic homemade pasta, marinated vegetables as well as decadent chocolates, cookies, coffee and tea.

As shoppers discover new favorites, food lovers will have the unique opportunity to vote on the top artisan products that will ultimately be stocked in the store.

Rye Brook customers will also have the chance to meet Rossella Rago, star of the "Cooking with Nonna Show" at 1 p.m. Shoppers can also witness an operatic flash mob at 3:30 p.m. and conclude the afternoon with a talk at 6 p.m. by Julia della Croce, who is regarded as one of America's top cooking teachers and food historians by the James Beard Foundation.

Piazza Italia will also take place at Balducci’s locations in Greenwich and Scarsdale on April 8 at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information click here.
