The exhibition is scheduled to run until Saturday, Feb. 14, with a free opening reception scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m at the gallery.
The Bullseye Gallery is at 115 Hoyt Ave. in Mamaroneck.
Oregon-based artists Louise Krampien and Stacy Lynn Smith invited six other artists from the United States, Europe and Australia to participate in an exchange of glass prints.
Print exchanges traditionally have artists produce an edition of identical prints that will then be traded. Each artist, in exchange for his or her work, will receive one print from every other artist.
In this case, each artist produced glassworks using printmaking techniques. Besides Krampien and Smith's work, this exhibition includes art by Julie Alland (California), Kate Baker (Australia), Joseph Cavalieri (New York), Silvia Levenson (Italy), Morgan Madison (Washington) and Catharine Newell (Oregon).
Combining glass and traditional printmaking can create prints with depth, textures, surfaces and transparency. This fusion can allow artists to maintain traditions while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of what these materials are able to communicate.
Hours for the exhibition will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
