LARCHMONT, N.Y. – A veteran actor who famously starred in the HBO crime drama “Boardwalk Empire” is ready to show people at the Larchmont Public Library that acting is not just a young person’s game.

Bill Cwikowski is to lead a six-week, "stress-free" workshop at the library geared toward people ages 55 and over, according to a statement from the library.

The workshop aims to focus on individual character dialogues and monologues, according to organizers, who said the classes will culminate with an optional public performance.

Funded by the Westchester Library System’s Creative Aging in the Library Mini-Grant Initiative and supported by the Westchester Community Foundation, the program aims to teach acting as a valuable tool that can stimulate brain fitness and overall well-being, according to organizers.

Cwikowski, an actor and acting teacher for more than 45 years, is a prime example, according to organizers. The veteran star and Larchmonth resident holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in drama from Monmouth University and a Master’s in Fine Arts degree from Smith College. According to organizers, he’s been affiliated with numerous New York theaters and most recently starred on the Netflix comedy "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt."

The workshop is to take place at 4 p.m. on Thursdays, April 20 and 27, May 4, 11, 18 and 25, and June 1. Registration is open at 914-834-2281. Space in the six-week class is limited.
