Reading Room Makes DVlicious Finalist List For Westchester's 'Best Soup'

KATONAH, N.Y. -- From soothing chicken noodle to rich tomato, soup is one dish that never disappoints.

We asked for your top picks for our DVlicious "Best Soup in Westchester County" contest and whittled it down to five finalists. Each is being profiled this week with the winner selected Monday, Feb. 22. Here’s a “bowl-ful” rundown on one of them.

Number of Soups Offered: Two a day, rotated through more than 25 different soup recipes. 

Worth Dishing About: All soups are homemade from high quality, fresh ingredients. There is usually a gluten-free and vegetarian option available and according to Owner Gretchen Menzies, the Reading Room, which just turned one-year-old Feb. 10, is not afraid to offer interesting options like Spicy Black Bean or Thai Vegetable. Most popular is thee Senegalese Chicken with peanuts.
