Showtime's 'The Affair' Brews Up Action At Mamaroneck's Half Time

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- It's not the first time Mamaroneck's Half Time Beverage has been contacted by casting agents to film in its store, but the call Owner Jason Daniels got a few months ago asking about his space was for a show he actually watches -- and is a fan of (many of the others, he said, have been low-budget numbers).

Showtime's "The Affair" shot in the store in August, taking over the wide aisles from 5 a.m. to 6 p .m.

Daniels can't reveal too much about the experience except to say the location scout had been in touch months earlier looking for a big supermarket space with alcohol. "Since we have the world's largest selection of beer, it made sense," he said. "They liked the space and I think they even shot some in the Village."

He is now allowed to tell a little bit about it to the world and so put up a Facebook and Twitter post yesterday. Daniels said it was fun hanging out with the director and cast members and even got to share a few brews.

"The Affair" folks have been shooting all over the Hudson Valley, and were, most recently at Mel's Army-Navy Center in Pearl River.

The show, which begins its third season Sunday, Nov. 20, revolves around the ramifications of an extramarital affair between Novelist, Noah Solloway (played by Dominic West) and Alison Lockhart, a waitress, played by Ruth Wilson. The other main characters are Joshua Jackson and Maura Tierney.

Daniels said Half Time's cameo is set for Sunday, Dec. 4 at 10 p.m.
