Showtime's 'The Affair' Heats Up, Using Lower Hudson Valley As Backdrop

COLD SPRING, N.Y. -- The Hudson Valley, and now, specifically the Village of Cold Spring, is getting time in the spotlight thanks to Showtime's "The Affair."

The show, which has been filmed throughout Westchester and Putnam, debuted its second season Sunday, Oct. 4 with one of the main characters living in Cold Spring.

The episode begins with Noah Solloway at the Cold Spring Metro North Station, where he is living since his separation from his wife. On the show, Solloway said he is renting a place and spending his time writing his second novel in Cold Spring.

Solloway's girlfriend, Alison (Ruth Wilson), said she enjoyed exploring Cold Spring on the show.

"The Affair" shot scenes in Briarcliff in June and in Dobbs Ferry in August so stay tuned for future familiar background scenes.
