The event took place on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at a private home in Mamaroneck.

“Let’s face it: We’re all on overload, with so many commitments in our lives pulling us in so many different directions,” said Nancy Kanterman of Mamaroneck, who serves as the Larchmont-Mamaroneck divisional chair. “But something brought us here today, whether it was wanting to connect with the values we hold close, wanting to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, or wanting to connect with community to make things happen.”

Advisory Chair Joy Zelin of Larchmont reminded the gathering about the power of community and collective responsibility.

“It’s the only way we can respond to the homebound elderly in Ukraine, kids at risk in Brooklyn, Israelis experiencing post-traumatic stress, Jewish families facing crisis or anti-Semitism around the world and the hungry wherever they are,” she said.
