The fun with the announcement, which appeared in the NYT on Sunday, began when Politico White House reporter Josh Dawsey tweeted that the announcement was the "peak" type that "has it all" to make the Times.

The tweet was liked almost 1,400 times and retweeted more than 500 times. The reason? The very up-town couple both have perfect pedigrees and even had an amusing and quite sophisticated meeting.

The Tarrytown bride, Grace Hays Holcomb du Pont, met her new husband, Conor Jackson Sutherland, by chance according to the Times article: “Ms. du Pont offered a ride to Mr. Sutherland and a friend, whom Ms. du Pont knew. The two men had just moored their sailboat and were preparing for a long row back to the dock, whereas she (du Pont) was piloting her family’s motorized tender. They took the ride.”

Social media fans also had fun with couple's background, saying how could they be any more perfect?

“The bride is a descendant of Éleuthère Irénée du Pont, the founder of what is now known as the DuPont Company. She is also the granddaughter of Pierre S. du Pont IV of Rockland, Del., who was the governor of Delaware from 1977 to 1985, and is a great-great-granddaughter of Llewellyn Powers, who was the governor of Maine from 1897 to 1901,” the Times wrote.

The announcement goes on to describe how the two dated at Princeton and well, now will have a perfect life.
