Former Mamaroneck Editor Wilson Dies at 89

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Ann Charlotte Wilson, formerly a longtime resident of Mamaroneck, died Jan. 26 after a brief illness.  She was 89.

The daughter of Albert and Emily von Minden Wilson, she began her career as a staff member of Architectural Digest. For nearly 50 years, Wilson commuted from Mamaroneck to Manhattan as she rose from the rank of managing editor of such magazines as “Architectural Forum,” “Architectural Plus,” “Interiors” and “Interior Design.”

Often referred to a "chief paragon," she retired in 1992.  Wilson was known by friends and family for her tact and honesty.

Wilson is survived by her brother Albert Wilson of Crystal River, Fla. and nine nieces and nephews.  A private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home & Crematory in Lecanto, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any charity.
