The Mamaroneck resident opened the store in the Village of Harrison last year after retiring as traffic coordinator with the Harrison Police Department.

But Mazzullo is hardly "retired." In addition to operating his shop, he serves as constable at the Harrison Town Court and director of the Westchester Brassmen Drum & Bugle Corps, which celebrated its 30th Anniversary last year. You may recognize him from local parades. He's a brass musician who often leads the band as they march.

If that's not enough, he's also an American Legion Post commander who served as a combat helicopter crew chief during the Vietnam War. And he's a former chief of the volunteer fire department.

We probably forgot something, right Joe?

Oh, that's right.

Mazzullo recently agreed to serve as a volunteer community advisor with the Daily Voice to help keep readers informed about local news and events.
