The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a friendly but competitive series of sailing events around the United States, which combines the joy of sailing with the important task of raising money to fight leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers.
Participants across the country have raised more than $46 million to help advance the LLS mission since the inception of the Leukemia Cup Regatta.
Each sailor in the regatta series, through fundraising efforts, is eligible to win prizes, including the opportunity to race at the Fantasy Sail in Savannah, Ga., on Friday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 23, with world-renowned sailor and ESPN commentator Gary Jobson, National Leukemia Cup Regatta Chairman.
Regatta participants can continue fundraising until Nov. 1. Supporters can still donate at www.leukemiacup.org/ctwhv. Race results can be found at www.leukemiacup.org/ctwhv.
“The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a great way for sailing enthusiasts to do what they love, while also helping the more than one million people suffering from blood cancers,” said Dennis Chillemi, Connecticut Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter Executive Director.
