The collection of poems is available now for pre-order until April 17 for $12.49, and it will ship in mid-June. “Harbor Mandala” depicts the harbor as a place where nature and civilization meet, an association that can also represent borders between consciousness and unconsciousness, dream and waking, instinct and rationality, and life and death. The book includes descriptive poems about elements seen around the harbor and several strands of poems that complicate simple appropriations of images from nature, ranging in tone from comic to reverent and austere.

Award-winning writer Robert Thomas describes the chapbook as follows: “Michael Collins’ 'Harbor Mandala' vividly captures a soul’s search for itself at Mamaroneck Harbor.” Acclaimed poet Gail Peck adds, "Michael Collins’ piercing vision settles on a harbor offering solace, yet it is also a place where it is difficult to distinguish between what is real, what is reflection. ... These deeply meditative poems that explore the cycle of life and death echo Yeats’ own observation that ‘There is another world, but it is in this one.’”
