Mamaroneck Analyst, Kao-Shue Lin Dies at 76

MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Kao-Shue Lin, of Mamaroneck, died suddenly on Dec. 28. He was 76.

He was born Nov. 8, 1935 in Taiwan to Huo-Tsen Lin and Hong-Men Chiang Lin, the fourh of nine children. Lin receive a bachelor's degree from National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan. In 1973, Lin and his family immigrated to the U.S. to pursue educational and career opportunities.

Lin then attended graduate school at the University of Maryland and eventually became a US citizen. Early in his career, he realized the potential for using computers in business and banking. 

Shifting his career goals toward computer systems analysis and consulting, Lin continued to work in the field until he retired for health reasons. An avid reader, he was fluent in Chinese, Japanese and English. 

History, economics and mathematics were his interests and he enjoyed fishing at Harbor Island Park and on the Long Island Sound, as well as watching Japanese dramas with his wife.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shou-Mei Kin, his daughter Yu-Shi (Drew) Olsen, his son Yu-Wei (Bonnie Lee) Lin, his sisters Xia Liang Lin and Li Tsu Lin of Taiwan, his brother Ta Wang Lynn of Columbus, Ohio and give grandchildren. 

Friends and family may visit for final farewells from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA. 02241.
