The floor-to-ceiling murals display the city's history and rural origins through views of historic architecture, transportation and sea coast, along with famous athletes, artists and political activists, such as Lou Gherig, Ruby Dee, Norman Rockwell, Carrie Chapman Catt and more.

Manrique used a combination of fine art acrylics and brightly colored, high-gloss house paints to produce the murals on the station's main room and adjacent hallway. The project was completed during a 10 week period.

There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. June 17 with Mayor Noam Branson.
