New Rochelle resident Heather Adessa,  who owns Glo Beauty Bar in Mamaroneck, was asked by Rabbi Rachel Isaacs, a Waterville, Maine resident, to do her makeup for the Dec. 14th Chanukah Benediction speech at The White House.

Rabbi Isaacs, a longtime friend of Adessa's, flew her to D.C. for the event. And though Adessa didn't get to meet the first couple, she did feel a "six degrees of separation" connection as well as the excitement as she got the rabbi and her partner ready for the event.

As for some quick tips for holiday makeup, Adessa says to always use primers and setting sprays to keep makeup looking fresh for long periods of time.

Glo Beauty Bar is at 605 E Boston Post Rd., (914) 732-3033, www.glo-beautybar.com. Go HERE for White House event link.
